  • St. David's Rehabilitation Hospital and Easter Seals Central Texas Collaborate to Offer Greater Health and Wellness Resources For People with Disabilities

    On November 9, St. David’s Rehabilitation Hospital and Easter Seals Central Texas will open a new center designed to provide better health and wellness resources for people with disabilities through a unique community collaboration. The St. David’s Wheelchair Fitness Center will relocate from its current location in the Hancock Center to Easter Seals Central Texas’ new site, located at 8505 Cross Park Drive, Suite 120, in Austin.

    AUSTIN, Texas — St. David’s Rehabilitation Hospital and St. David’s Neuroscience & Spine Institute at St. David’s HealthCare recently launched a new stroke program for active adults called “Your Journey Back to an Active Life.” The program is designed to provide a complete continuum of care for stroke patients who survive a stroke at a young age. The program, which is associated with St. David’s Medical Center’s Comprehensive Stroke Center, is the only one of its kind in the state. It focuses on meeting the unique goals and rehabilitation needs of younger and active patients.
