Albert B. Horn, III, MD, a board certified neurologist, received his medical degree, with Highest Honors, from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1976. He completed an internship and residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Horn also completed two externships: in Psychiatry (Neurological and Psychiatric Institute of UCLA) and Cardiology (Brackenridge Hospital). He is the recipient of numerous academic and medical honors, he has held leadership positions within the local medical community, and was a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Since 1989, Dr. Horn has served St. David’s Medical Center as Director of Stroke Rehabilitation.
Past research efforts have included studies involving chronic pain as well as those involving platelets. A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dr. Horn received his undergraduate degree in Zoology from Louisiana State University.
